Chris Townshend - Dental Surgeon BDS (BIRM 1991) GDC number 67052
Chris grew up close to Mold and and attended The King's School in Chester. He qualified from Birmingham University in 1991, received 'Honours' in the 1st, 4th and 5th BDS examinations, and was awarded several prizes including runner-up in the UK BDA/Dentsply Student Clinician Programme, and Walpole Day prize in orthodontics.
Over the years Chris has undertaken many comprehensive training programmes in topics such as dentures, root canal therapy, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, toothwear, periodontal (gum) treatment, tooth whitening and is a 'Smilelign' acredited provider for the provision of clear orthodontic aligners. Chris's style is relaxed and informal. He particularly enjoys using minimally invasive adhesive techniques that are kind to teeth and helping patients achieve a healthy attractive smile. Providing dentures, both partial and full dentures, is also one of Chris's favourite treatments he provides. On a personal note Chris enjoys walking in the Clwydian hills, swimming and is a keen gardener and caravanner. But above all he loves spending time with his two daughters Lydia and Emily and dog Alfie.

Judith Townshend - Dental Surgeon BChD (LEEDS 1998) GDC number 74448
Judith grew up In St Helens and qualified from Leeds University in 1998. She enjoys the diverse challenges of extracting teeth and saving teeth with root canal therapy! Judith has attended advanced courses on varying aspects of root canal therapy and has a 'Certificate in Endodontics' from the University of Chester. She has also completed several advanced oral surgery programmes and is our 'go to' dentist for those challenging dental extractions. In her 24 years as a dentist she has attended a miriad of other training programmes, including courses on occlusion, tooth-whitening, treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, management of tooth-wear and is a 'Smilelign' acredited provider for the provision of clear orthodontic aligners .
Judith also enjoys walking, reading trashy novels and towing the family touring caravan (much to Chris's delight!) to different parts of Wales whenever the opportunity arises. She also loves baking and according to her daughters, Lydia and Emily, cooks the best chocolate cake in the world! She has also recently taken up Yoga .... oh and she absolutely adores dogs!

Lucy Stevens - Dental Nurse NEBDN (2008) GDC number 120859
Lucy is an extremely enthusiastic and friendly member of our team who will help you feel totally 'at home' when you visit. Lucy is always very keen to further her skills and has undertaken considerable postgraduate training. She has a 'Certificate in Dental radiography' which allows her to take dental X-rays and she also extended duties qualifications in the taking of dental dental impressions. She has also undertaken training on Medical Emergencies and CPR, infection control, Child and Vulnerable Adult safeguarding training and much more. Lucy enjoys spending time with her children and is a regular at the gym.

Claire Formby - Dental Nurse NEBDN (2011) GDC number 223184
Claire has recently joined us having worked as an orthodontic nurse in Wrexham since qualifying in 2011 working with many specialist orthodontists. She is looking forward to putting her excellent skills to good use in a general practice setting, and meeting all our lovely patients. Claire is from Manchester originally, and moved to the area 10 years ago. Claire has two children and a dog called Dennis! Claire says that the favourite part of the job is meeting new people and interacting with the patients, and this fits in well with our approach! Her hobbies include reading, running and the occasional camping expedition provided its not raining!
