 The team have had their first Covid vaccination dose today. Hopefully this is the first step towards some kind of normality for everyone. It was very well organised at Deeside Rainbow Hospital, jab was painless, and staff very friendly. Dentist Judith is actually smiling beneath her mask!
 We are sorry to say goodbye to Cathy who after 5 years with us has found a new position closer to home. We are extremely sad to see her go, and wish her all the very best for the future. She will be missed not only by us, but by scores of our patients who have got to know her so well over the years. Good luck Cathy, and keep in touch.
Thanks to Dave Edwards of RCMS for another excellent mornings team training on CPR and medical emergencies.     A team outing to Glan Clwyd Hospital today for Infection Control Training. We go on this course regularly to refresh our knowledge and make sure we are bang up to date with all the latest recommendations to ensure our patients are always treated safely.
We recently celebrated our 10th anniversary since we opened the practice on 2008. We can't believe how quickly the time has flown, and we would like to thank all our wonderful patients for their continued support. The team celebrated this milestone with a meal at Just Steak in Mold. Here's to the next 10 and beyond! We are all supporting Christmas Jumper Day by wearing Christmas jumpers (T-shirts actually for hygiene reasons!) in aid of Save the Children. Chris has just attended a superb 'hands-on' minor oral surgery workshop by Consultant Oral Surgeon Mr Simon Moore. The course was designed to update the skills of dentists attending, and Chris thoroughly enjoyed the day. Topics covered included: how to properly assess each case, how to perform a multitude of oral surgery procedures in practice and how to deal with common complications that arise. Chris was able to practice the procedures under the watchful eye of Mr Moore. A great refresher course well worth attending!

 Judith has recently completed the 4 day Perio masterclass for general practitioners. The course is run by periodontal specialists Ian Dunn and Phil Ower of Periocourses. It covers many aspects of treating and managing gum disease, including non-surgical and surgical methods. It is very relevant to general dental practice and Judith thoroughly enjoyed it.
